2017 Marks The 75th Anniversary Of Little Golden Books
When the Little Golden Books were launched in 1942 at 25 cents each, they changed publishing history. For the first time, children's books were high quality, delightfully illustrated, low-priced and available to almost all children, not just a privileged few. Little Golden Books were an instant success.
Over the years the offerings have grown to include a host of beloved characters drawn from literature, fairy tales, television and popular culture. Today, over two billion Little Golden Books have reached the hands of children all over the world and continue to delight, educate and inspire them!
Join us as we discuss this milestone and celebrate 75 Years of Little Golden Books.
Our special guests for this webinar are Leonard S. Marcus, the author of Golden Legacy and a Children's Book Historian and Critic, and Diane Muldrow, the Editorial Director of Little Golden Books at Random House Children’s Books.
